The Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc) is an organization of over 120 Orthodox Rabbis, making the cRc the largest regional Orthodox Rabbinical organization in North America. Members of the cRc occupy positions of prominence in congregations, Jewish education and related fields of Rabbinic leadership and communal service. We are actively engaged in creating and sustaining a thriving and vibrant Orthodox Community in the greater Chicago area, throughout the Midwest, and in other cities. The Chicago Rabbinical Council serves as an agent for many important projects on behalf of the American Jewish Community.

In addition to our Kashruth supervisory services, we maintain a Rabbinic Court (Beth Din) for Jewish Religious Divorces, conversions, arbitrations and mediation. Our Council also deals with community relations, funeral standards, legislative issues, youth and education, as well as other community activities. We represent the Orthodox rabbinate in a wide range of venues serving the larger Jewish and general communities.

Education And Youth Committee
Through its Youth Fund, the cRc supports the programming and activities of the Mesorah region of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth and Bnei Akiva of Chicago. The cRc also sponsors a Young Adult Education Committee for the benefit of young singles and young married couples, nationally acclaimed weekends for singles, lecture programs, and opportunities for social action. The cRc also services Jewish youth on the various college campuses of our city and state.

Other Publications
In addition to its annual kashruth publications, the cRc has published a series of pamphlets. They are not intended to serve as a "layman’s Jewish law book" but rather as introductions to further study. For the interpretation and practical applications of the details mentioned therein, readers are advised to consult an Orthodox Rabbi.
